Manchester United fans have dropped the ultimate compliment on a “truly elite” player after Ruben Amorim’s men destroyed Everton 4-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Ruben Amorim’s men built on their momentum from the 3-2 win over Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League at Old Trafford on Thursday evening.

The Red Devils broke the deadlock against Everton in the 34th minute after Marcus Rashford found the back of the net thanks to a deflection from Jarrad Branthwaite.

Bruno Fernandes, who assisted Marcus Rashford for the opener, then set up Joshua Zirkzee only seven minutes later and the Red Devils took a 2-0 lead into half-time.

Amorim’s side were in complete control of the Premier League match and Amad Diallo picked up his first assist after Rashford scored only a minute after the break.

Joshua Zirkzee, much like Rashford, completed his brace in the second half and Amad Diallo secured his second assist in Manchester United’s thumping win.

Amad Diallo plays starring role for Man Utd

Manchester United are now ninth in the Premier League table after their 4-0 stream-rolling of Everton and the Red Devils are only four points adrift from the top four.

Amad Diallo produced a show-stealing performance for Ruben Amorim’s men and the United star is thriving under the Red Devils boss’ 3-4-2-1 formation.

The 22-year-old Ivorian attacker has been modified from a winger to a wing-back role under Amorim and Amad has been devastating from the right flank.

Amad played as a wing-back in Amorim’s first match at United and picked up an assist only two minutes into the 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town last month.

The Ivory Coast international excelled against Everton and Amad saw out the full 90 minutes in the Premier League match at Old Trafford.

Along with his two assists against Sean Dyche’s men, Amad played his part in the build-up to United’s second against Everton before half-time.

The ex-Atalanta man put Jarrad Branthwaite under pressure before he dispossessed the Everton defender and allowed Bruno Fernandes to pounce on the loose ball.

Man Utd fans react to Amad’s performance vs Everton

United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, waxed lyrical about the impact that Amad had in the Premier League win over the Toffees.

Red Devils supporters insisted that Amad is the “best-attacking player” at the club and praised the United wing-back for making football look “so easy” on the pitch.

Amad’s “work rate” over the course of the 90 minutes was singled out and some United fans were even ‘surprised’ at how well he performed in that one area alone.

“Amad is our best player and attacking threat as a RWB. He makes football so easy,” one fan said.

Another added: “Amad is comfortably the best-attacking player at the club, he’s a literal cheat code to have.”

A third commented: “Having Amad and Rashford on the same wing is a cheat code.”

Someone else claimed: “How can someone so skilful can also be so hardworking in pressing? Such a cheat code Amad [is].”

While a fifth X user tweeted: “Wow! [I don’t care] what [the] haters think but Amad’s pressing is officially a cheat code in my books. Wow! Wow! Wow!”

“Amad Diallo is by far currently our best player in the squad. Pure talent. Today’s Man of the Match,” another wrote.

And a seventh posted: “Amad’s work rate is absolutely insane. The combination of his technical skill and relentless drive to win the ball back is truly elite.”

An eighth fan added: “Amad’s technical ability, creativity has never been a question. [From] Atalanta to Sunderland, you saw it consistently. What’s a surprise is this man’s work rate. Cajoling players off the ball constantly and dominating them, jumping for a header like a flea.”
