Diogo Dalot went on the official Manchester United podcast this past week and had a few interesting things to say for himself.
The Portuguese star was quick to praise new teammate Bruno Fernandes, who has had a fast start to life at Old Trafford.
Dalot was seen on Fernandes’ first day giving his compatriot a lift to training and he is confident the former Sporting star will continue to reach new heights.
He said: “He’s a top guy, a top player. He is going to be legend, no doubt about that.
“He’s unbelievable, he can better of course as well. He’s going to learn a lot from this club. I think he is a massive player to have in this team and he’s going to be a very good player for this club.”

Personal improvement required
While Dalot marvels at his new teammate’s impact, Dalot knows he has plenty of work to do to become a star in his own right at Old Trafford.
The right-back is behind Aaron Wan-Bissaka, while last week against LASK, Brandon Williams filled in at right-back. We noted that this puts Dalot under more pressure.
He said: “It’s been a tough one-and-a-half years here, because of the injuries, and it was a big fight for me since I came.”
Dalot has only 66 minutes of Premier League action to his name all season.
While he did score his first goal in the FA Cup against Tranmere, he has not been able to build on this in the two months since.
At 20, there is no reason for him to give up, he just has to continue to fight.
