Manchester United are embarking on a new era with Ruben Amorim finally starting work this week having arrived in England.
Ruben Amorim quickly became the top target for Ineos after Erik ten Hag was sacked at Manchester United boss.
United finalised a deal to appoint Amorim as November arrived, but the 39-year-old decided to stay with Sporting until the international break.
Amorim won his final game in charge of Sporting on Sunday and the Portuguese coach has now landed in England as he begins work at United.
Amorim has been seen at Carrington this week and will be looking to learn as much as he can about his players ahead of facing Ipswich Town next weekend.

United have allowed Amorim to bring a number of coaches with him to Old Trafford whilst ditching most of Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff.
Ruud van Nistelrooy and Rene Hake have left United with Amorim now bringing his own men to the club.
Whether Tony da Silva ends up joining the United staff remains to be seen.
The former CFR Cluj defender, born in France to Portuguese parents, has been working as a coach since retiring in 2015.
Da Silva is now out of work having left his post as manager of Romanian side Politehnica Iasi at the end of last season.
The 43-year-old has now told Sportpesurse in Romania that he is heading to United to visit Amorim in the coming days.
Da Silva will visit former club Paris Saint-Germain first but then plans to join Amorim in Manchester as he seeks to learn more about football at the very top level.
“In a week I’m going to PSG, for 3 days. Then I will go to Manchester United for another 3 days to hang out with Ruben Amorim,” said Da Silva.
“We’ll see what happens. I go there to see how it works at the highest level, to observe other ideas. I worked for a national team, in Liga 1 in Romania, but in football there is a constant evolution,” he added.

What’s interesting here is that Da Silva also claims to have received an actual offer to join Amorim’s United staff.
As quoted by Antena in Romania, Da Silva claims that Amorim wanted to hand him a job in analysis at United, studying upcoming opponents.
Da Silva seemingly prefers to be coaching rather than in an ‘office job’, but perhaps his trip to Manchester will lead to a role being carved out for him.
“Ruben and I are very good friends. He congratulated me when I saved Poli Iași last year,” said Da Silva.
“We were talking like this and he said to me… “Hey, Tony… you don’t have a club now… Don’t you want to come work for us? To analyse the opponent for our team”. It was more of an office job,” he added.

Amorim isn’t the only United man Da Silva has ties to as he also knows Andre Onana, Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes.
Da Silva worked as an analyst in the Cameroon national team setup and crossed paths with Onana in that role.
Fanatik in Romania claim that Da Silva is ‘good friends’ with Dalot and Fernandes as well as Onana.
The trio filmed supportive messages for Da Silva and Politehnica Iasi battled against relegation.
That existing connection may add to the idea of Da Silva joining United but for now, his upcoming visit will seemingly just be that rather than starting a new job.
