Edinson Cavani will not play for Manchester United against AC Milan tomorrow night.
Cavani was named among the 21-man travelling squad United’s official website put out earlier today.
But Ole Gunnar Solskjaer did say at his pre-match press conference that his returning players still needed to be assessed.
It seemed that assessment would take place in Italy but Cavani hasn’t even been passed fit enough to make the plane.

According to the club website, he’s had a reaction after today’s training session.
That means that United’s attacking crisis looks set to continue ahead of a crucial night.
Anthony Martial has already been ruled out of the game with the injury he picked up in the first leg.
It seemed that Cavani – who was pictured back in training yesterday – would soften the blow but it’s not to be for Solskjaer.

It seems Solskjaer has the same attacking options available as he did for the 1-0 win over West Ham on Sunday.
On that occasion, he started with Marcus Rashford on the left, Dan James on the right and Mason Greenwood leading the line.
First leg goalscorer Amad Diallo will be the best forward option on the bench upon his return to Italy.
Paul Pogba and Donny van de Beek are able to travel, which should at least offer an injection of creativity from midfield.
