Casemiro has continuously voiced his support for Michael Carrick as the manager of Manchester United; now, he’s made one glowing comparison.

After every Manchester United win, Casemiro and Michael Carrick often celebrate together on the pitch, showcasing the close relationship they’ve developed over the past few months.

This makes Casemiro’s impending United exit all the more frustrating. But before he leaves, Casemiro has made it clear that he backs Carrick.

Speaking earlier this month, Casemiro said Carrick deserves the permanent United managerial job, and now he’s shed more light on why he thinks that.

Casemiro likens Michael Carrick to Carlo Ancelotti

The United job is pretty much already Carrick’s after he secured Champions League football.

Now, Casemiro has suggested he has a quality similar to Carlo Ancelotti, as he told the Rio Ferdinand Presents YouTube channel, explaining why he is such a good head coach.

“Ancelotti, he is a big manager because he understands. He played. He knows what the players need to listen to, and he pushes, but he knows the time to push. He [Carrick] knows. So for me, he deserves it [the job].

“He has very good staff. He’s very intelligent. But for me, the best thing he knows about the club. He understands the club.”

Casemiro then revealed one instance of how Carrick implemented his club experience.

“I remember we played against Leeds, and the meeting is about the history of this game.”

United lost this game to Leeds, but the idea is there that Carrick understands the players and they can relate to him.

What is your message to Casemiro ahead of his final home game at Old Trafford?

Do you think it will be a scoring farewell for Casemiro?

Carrick could be the next Ancelotti at Manchester United

Casemiro comparing Carrick with the legendary Ancelotti is a strong statement from the Brazilian that shouldn’t be ignored.

The comparisons go beyond Casemiro’s comments, though.

Like Ancelotti, Carrick is stoic on the touchline, rarely breaking his neutral demeanor, suited up and looking the part, surely inspiring confidence more than Ruben Amorim in a tracksuit.

More pivotal for the comparisons, Carrick has Ancelotti’s excellent man-management qualities, keeping players happy and extracting the very best from them.

This was a standout trait from Ancelotti, and if Carrick can extract half what Ancelotti does from his players, United are in for a treat.

Carrick has a lot to learn, but he is certainly looking every bit a United boss.
