Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has now outlined his stance on whether Michael Carrick should become the permanent head coach.
Since Michael Carrick took charge of Manchester United, few players have been more important than Casemiro.
Casemiro has been one of United’s best players, stepping up with goals and highlight reel challenges in midfield.
The Brazilian and Carrick have developed a tight bond, seen on the pitch after wins, deep in conversation, and celebrating together.
Now, Casemiro has revealed his thoughts on whether Carrick should be appointed permanently.

Michael Carrick has now beaten Liverpool, City, Arsenal, Villa, and Chelsea – Do you want him to be the permanent manager?
What did he get right (and wrong) vs Liverpool?
Casemiro backs Michael Carrick to become Manchester United head coach
Casemiro’s words hold a lot of weight because of his legendary career at the top of football for Real Madrid and United.
Now, in an interview with ESPN Brazil, Casemiro has outlined exactly why Carrick should get the job.
“In my opinion, he completely deserves it [the Manchester United job]. I think he’s a guy who has already demonstrated that he has very good qualities to be a Manchester United coach.
“So it’s not up to me to choose, it’s up to the club.
“But if I could give my opinion, of course, he deserves it, and he deserves the club’s total trust.
“Of course, the season is year-round, but since he arrived, he’s been doing an incredible job, and I think that with more time, he has everything to be a great manager of Manchester United.”
If Casemiro wanted to stay one more year – surely you would let him?!
Casemiro is completely right about Carrick being perfect for United
Casemiro’s endorsement of Carrick is one of the most informative yet, with the Brazilian being completely real with his verdict.
While Kobbie Mainoo indicated he’d die for Carrick on the pitch, Casemiro has instead explained how the Englishman is showing the indicators of being top class for United.
Carrick’s man-management has been likened to Carlo Ancelotti and also Sir Alex Ferguson over the past few months, which is something that is clear to see, with Casemiro’s praise likely including that.
He won’t be here next season, but Ineos need to take Casemiro’s word as gospel, as he likely has a really good grasp on what the dressing room are thinking right now.
Carrick is perfect for United, and Casemiro knows exactly why. All that’s left now is to make it official, but this likely isn’t far off.
