Casemiro only has four games remaining as a Manchester United player, and he has matched an impressive record in his final season.
In Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Brentford, Casemiro opened the scoring for the hosts at Old Trafford.
It is the Brazilian’s ninth goal of the season, which is Casemiro’s highest-scoring season of his career. It was easily Casemiro’s most dominant performance in years, which only makes waving goodbye to him even more difficult.

If Casemiro wanted to stay one more year – surely you would let him?!
Casemiro has most headed Man Utd goals in a single season
Incredibly, eight of Casemiro’s nine goals this season have been scored with his head, which has matched a record at United.
He draws level with Dwight Yorke as the only other United player to have scored eight headers in a single season.
Yorke achieved it in the 99/00 season, when he scored 20 Premier League goals for the Red Devils.
Casemiro has four games remaining this season to try and eclipse Yorke’s headed figures.
Gary Neville says Man Utd’s combined fee and wages spend on Casemiro was bad business – Do you agree?
He is upset there is no resale value and he will leave for free
Casemiro’s goals will be difficult to replace
It is no secret that the top transfer priority at United this summer is finding a long-term replacement for Casemiro in midfield.
The partnership of Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo has been extremely successful for Michael Carrick, and United cannot afford to go into next season without strong midfield options.
But replacing Casemiro will be extremely difficult, if not impossible. What he provides in terms of goals, defensive output and leadership on and off the pitch is something that no one player can match.
United are expected to sign two midfielders in the summer and promote a third from the academy.
