Manchester United have taken several young talents on the pre-season tour of the United States of America.
While Ruben Amorim is aiming to have a small squad for the 2025/26 season due to having no European football which shortens the campaign by at least eight games.
Despite this, Manchester United’s academy has a number of players who are simply too good to not include, as they fight for a place in the first team on a permanent basis.
United have taken eight wonderkids on the pre-season tour, with names like Chido Obi, Sekou Kone, Diego Leon and also Bendito Mantato all vying to earn a place in the squad under Amorim next season.
Leon has already impressed during pre-season, with signs indicating that the Paraguayan is ready to play a part for United.
But there is another youngster who had a solid outing against Leeds United and now Bruno Fernandes has told him what he is expecting from his performances.

Bruno Fernandes sets gauntlet for Jack Fletcher
Among the talents included in the squad by Amorim is Jack Fletcher, who is one of the most exciting players in the squad, at the age of just 18.
Amorim is excited by the potential of Fletcher, reports last season claimed, and it is easy to see why. Last season, Fletcher scored four and assisted three in nine U21 Premier League 2 games.
His talent is no secret and clearly Fernandes has high hopes for the son of Darren Fletcher.
On the United YouTube channel, Fernandes introducing his teammates while recording on his phone and he had a brilliant conversation with Fletcher.
“We go here for the next generation of Fletch! Let’s enjoy it, let’s score some goals also, fans want to see goals from that left-foot, you have to show them. We are expecting magic from there.”
This is a gauntlet from Fernandes which Fletcher will be desperate to achieve and make himself undeniable for Amorim this upcoming season.
Jack Fletcher can become Manchester United’s own Cole Palmer
While not earning his debut for the first team just yet, Fletcher seems a shoo-in to finally be included in the academy graduates list.
Fletcher is considered to be ‘Cole Palmer in disguise’ and he finally looks ready to take the next step, having proven over the past 12 months that he is simply far too good for youth football going forward.
While only being 18, Fletcher has been around the first-team set up for years, which showcases exactly why United are so excited by the teenager.
During the 2023/24 season, Erik ten Hag believed that Fletcher had huge potential and he will surely be pleased at the prospect of this coming true.
Hopefully, he can fulfil Fernandes’ demand and score some goals over in the USA.
