Bruno Fernandes has now singled out two key Manchester United first-team players under Michael Carrick after his superb run of form in recent months.
The 31-year-old Manchester United captain is on the verge of tying the Premier League assist record for a single season after his impact for the Red Devils.
Bruno Fernandes has 19 Premier League assists in 33 matches, with the Portugal international picking up 11 of his assists under Michael Carrick’s interim reign.
The United midfielder has been playing in an advanced position on the pitch after Ruben Amorim was sacked as the Premier League club’s head coach in January.

Bruno Fernandes on what he sees playing alongside Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro at Man Utd
Just like Bruno Fernandes, both Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro have enjoyed a consistent run of form under Manchester United legend Michael Carrick.
Man Utd midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has been able to reclaim his place in the Red Devils starting XI in the post-Ruben Amorim era of the Premier League club.
Casemiro has established himself as a key United first-team player again after his resurgence under Carrick in the tail end of his Red Devils playing spell.
Speaking to the YouTube channel JoelBeyaTV, Fernandes admitted that Mainoo and Casemiro were two standout Man Utd teammates at Old Trafford for different reasons.
“It’s obviously very nice to play with two players that are, first of all, two great players that [are] very different, one very young and with a great future ahead of him,” he said.
“The other one [is] someone that has achieved everything that football had to give to him.”

Bruno Fernandes’ admiration for Man Utd midfielders Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro speaks volumes
Kobbie Mainoo has started all but one of Carrick’s 15 Premier League matches in charge in the 2025-26 campaign, with the Man Utd midfielder deeply impressing.
Casemiro, on the other hand, is set to sign off his Man Utd run on a high note after defying his critics’ expectations with his impact for the Red Devils this season.
Fernandes welcomed the dynamic that he has struck up with both Mainoo and Casemiro, despite the latter leaving Old Trafford at the end of the campaign.
“So, it’s very nice and very easy to play alongside them,” he added.
Casemiro, whose Man Utd contract expires at the end of June, has netted five times in his last 14 Premier League matches under Red Devils interim head coach Carrick.
