Bruno Fernandes makes a promise to Manchester United fans

Bruno Fernandes did not have the best of games as Manchester United fell to a 3-1 home loss against PSG.

Not many of United’s players shone on a frustrating night, which has left the team with an uphill battle heading into the final group match.

United actually still top Group H. But only on goal difference.

PSG face Istanbul Basaksehir, while United travel to Germany to take on RB Leipzig, who will be out for revenge after a 5-0 hammering at Old Trafford.

At least our fate is in our own hands. United’s players are owning that. Fernandes has promised, ‘we will do it’.

Paul Pogba also sent a positive message after the defeat. He was a second half substitute at Old Trafford.

United sent him on too late, after Fred had been sent off. He had one powerful volley which fizzed narrowly over the bar at 2-1.

If United’s players come through in Germany, it will be a big success.

It’s just frustrating that the group should have been sewn up by now, with the away defeat to Istanbul Basaksehir costly.

Now United need at least a draw in Germany to reach the knockout rounds.
