Manchester United striker Benjamin Sesko has touched on the key dynamic that he has struck up with Bruno Fernandes during his time under Michael Carrick.
Benjamin Sesko has enjoyed a strong run of form under Michael Carrick after the Manchester United legend made his return to Old Trafford in January.
The 22-year-old Slovenian forward has netted seven times in his last 13 Premier League appearances under interim head coach Carrick in the 2025-26 season.
Sesko’s run of form in the final third in recent months has come alongside Red Devils skipper Bruno Fernandes playing in the No 10 role for United under Carrick’s tactics.

Bruno Fernandes was freed from the shackles of playing in the deep midfield role under Ruben Amorim after the former Manchester United manager was sacked.
The 31-year-old Man Utd captain has managed 19 Premier League assists from 33 appearances this season, with Fernandes netting eight times for his side as well.
Speaking to Sky Sports’ ‘Beyond the Game’ podcast, Benjamin Sesko explained why Fernandes has been so “important” for him at United since his 2025 transfer.
“I think we’re really good,” he said.
“Yeah. We’re really having a great time together. I’m always trying to get all the information out of him. Yeah.
“Because I think it’s important to stay around such a good player and a good person like him, to get to know just football in [a] general way better.”

Michael Carrick has alternated between Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo when it comes to leading the frontline, with Joshua Zirkzee also making rare appearances at times.
However, Fernandes has remained fixed to his advanced attacking position under Carrick’s Man Utd tactics and Sesko raved about the Red Devils skipper’s influence.
“I just have to use it to my maximum [Fernandes playing as the No 10],” Sesko said
“It’s like whatever he tells you, you just have to do it. Yeah. We got what he says.
“Don’t think twice. That’s why I said I’m really grateful to have this opportunity to be around him.”
Sesko has netted 12 times and picked up an assist in 32 matches across all competitions after Man Utd signed him from RB Leipzig last August.
