Amad’s seven-word message after Ipswich draw needs to be heard by every Man Utd fan

Ruben Amorim didn’t get off to the most perfect of starts at Manchester United as Ipswich Town were in no mood to be “clowns” on United’s occasion.

The 1-1 draw was arguably lucky for Man Utd since Andre Onana had to make some huge saves to keep the scoreline level while Ipswich’s goal was rarely threatened outside of the goal.

After the game, Ruben Amorim sounded like a man who was hopeful for the future but also got a glimpse of the magnitude of the job at his hands.

One player he won’t have to worry about is Amad, who put in a remarkable performance in an unfamiliar wingback position that will have his manager optimistic for the future.

Amad’s message after Man Utd draw at Ipswich

Outside of the post-match interview by the likes of Andre Onana, the players have been quiet after the draw against Ipswich, and rightly so.

They put in a timid performance and Amorim didn’t make any effort to hide the same even though his way of saying that was perfectly diplomatic.

He had promised before the game that fans would see an idea of what he wants to do with the Man Utd squad and there were fleeting glimpses of it.

That is what the team and the manager need to focus on going forward instead of being down over the result which could have been better.

Amad said after the game: “Trust the process, we will grow up,” alluding to Amorim’s first game and the building blocks that will take time to set up.

The comment section was full of fans appreciating the player’s performance who was the best outfielder on the day and an example to the rest of his teammates.

His teammates might have been quiet but they liked his message, with Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Bruno Fernandes, and the club also liking his post.

Ruben Amorim’s blocks to build upon

Amad is probably the best man to tell everyone to “trust the process” after the game because he speaks from a position of good form and a performance that backs up his words.

United’s opener showed the best of Amorim’s team but there was never going to be a complete performance from the team after a couple of training sessions.

Of all the things, the Ivorian’s performance was a big building block and as the injury worries clear up, the team will undoubtedly look better.

It already did with subs in the game when the likes of Manuel Ugarte and Mason Mount came on, with Casemiro, for example, not having his finest game.

Therefore, not only is this team in the starting stages of its evolution, but Amorim is having to engineer this evolution with one hand tied to his back due to injuries.

As Amad said- Trust the process.
