Manchester United have some special talents currently at the club, but Amad Diallo only expects one to become a history-maker.

So far this season Amad Diallo has been an ever-present for Manchester United, forcing his way into the starting line-up through excellent performances as he makes good on his potential.

With these displays, Amad has earned himself talk of a new contract which would be more than deserved as his importance continues to grow

Despite not being from the academy, Amad sits alongside Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo as the young talents changing the game for Erik ten Hag.

Now, Amad has been discussing his two young teammates, labelling one as a potential best player in history.

Amad Diallo raves about Kobbie Mainoo

Quite incredibly for United, the three emerging superstars at the club are all best friends on and off the pitch – something that bodes well for the future should the trio stay long-term.

Now, speaking on the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel, Amad has been asked about his two talented teammates.

On Mainoo, he issued some very high praise.

“Talking about Kobbie is like talking about a big legend. Kobbie at his age is so good.

“He’s an amazing player, a good person, and I am very close to him. He can show more, more, more than he has now, and I think he’s going to be one of the best players in history.”

Continuing, Amad was asked about Garnacho to which he was also full of praise.

“Garnacho is an amazing player. I like him because he wants to push, you know. He wants to push, he wants to reach his potential.”

Amad clearly thinks very highly of his two teammates, with Mainoo getting the highest form of praise – tipped for complete greatness which we hope will come in a United shirt.

Manchester United must look to Carrington again

There has been a trend in recent years that the star players for United are often those who come from the academy – with Garnacho and Mainoo both glowing examples of that.

Ineos have spotted this early in their time at Old Trafford which has led to a recruitment drive, signing some of the best talents in world football at their age category. Ineos has built a teenage spine for the club which could last for well over a decade.

Chido Obi-Martin is a shining example of this, United beat Europe’s elite to his signature in a move which significantly bolsters the academy – he may even be a fix for the senior team if goals continue to evade Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund.

Elsewhere, Harry Amass appears to be the long-term fix for United’s left-back problems. While Sekou Kone could very well be the star in midfield going forward.

Ineos clearly want to utilise the academy, something United has done for years and years and it’s a strategy we can absolutely get behind.
