Amad Diallo caught the eye of Bruno Fernandes after he sent a heartfelt message following Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Leicester City at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Ruud van Nistelrooy officially signed off his interim Manchester United managerial spell with three wins and a draw ahead of Ruben Amorim’s arrival at Old Trafford.
The 48-year-old United legend had returned to Old Trafford as part of Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff and was appointed assistant manager under the Dutchman.
However, Erik ten Hag’s reign as United manager came to an end earlier this month after the Red Devils sacked the 54-year-old former Ajax boss.
Van Nistelrooy stepped up as United interim manager and steadied the ship for the Red Devils, with the club collecting three important points on the weekend.

Fernandes reacts to Diallo’s message
Bruno Fernandes played a starring role for Manchester United against Leicester City and the Red Devils skipper opened the scoring in the first half at Old Trafford.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men were leading 2-0 by half-time after Victor Kristiansen accidentally put the ball in the back of the Leicester City net.
Alejandro Garnacho then climbed off the bench in the second half and the United winger netted the Red Devils’ third in the 82nd minute to seal a 3-0 win.
United have only managed four wins from 11 Premier League matches this season, but the Red Devils can still mount an effective challenge for the top four.
The Red Devils are 13th in the Premier League table and United are only four points adrift from the top four, despite their disappointing start to the season.
Amad Diallo took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and shared photos of him alongside United legend Van Nistelrooy and teammate Fernandes.
“Important win, see you soon,” he tweeted, adding a heart hands emoji and a red heart emoji.
Diallo shared the photos from his X post on Instagram, but the 22-year-old Ivorian attacker didn’t include the same caption on the platform.

The United winger simply posted the two photos of him with Van Nistelrooy and Fernandes on Instagram and the latter reacted in the comments of the post.
“Piccolo,” Fernandes responded, adding a heart emoji.
Fernandes on Man Utd win
Fernandes welcomed United’s result against Leicester City ahead of the November international break and he is keen for the Red Devils to build on their “momentum.”
“It was a really good win, important because we need points in the league, everyone is aware of that,” he told MUTV, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“And from now on, we have to kick on, because we are too much far behind where we want to be.”
Fernandes added: “It’s always like this. I think, as many of the strikers said, when you open the ketchup, in the beginning it’s tough to bring it out, but then, whenever you start bringing it out, it comes out all [at once].
“So, hopefully, it’s not going to stop. And I have to carry on this momentum.”
