Wes Brown has singled out Amad Diallo and another key Manchester United player to make a powerful point about the Red Devils’ set-up under Ruben Amorim.
Amad Diallo has continued to impress under Ruben Amorim and the Ivorian winger has been contending with a position change under the Manchester United manager.
Could YOU see Bryan Mbeumo as a future Man Utd captain after Bruno Fernandes’ exit? 🤔🫡
Amorim has been keen to reinvent the 23-year-old Ivory Coast international as a right-sided wing-back in his tactical system at the Premier League club.
Amad has been able to play in one of the two No 10 roles under Amorim, but the United head coach is committed to using the Ivorian forward as a wing-back.
The United winger has enjoyed some success out on the right-sided flank, with Amad building a superb dynamic with summer signing Bryan Mbeumo this season.

Wes Brown reveals what he has noticed when Amad Diallo is on the pitch for Man Utd under Ruben Amorim
Amad Diallo has shown his quality again with his attacking output on the right flank, but the Ivory Coast player has been vulnerable at times with his defensive qualities.
However, Wes Brown feels that the ex-Atalanta and Sunderland winger is shining on the right side in a way that Diogo Dalot and Patrick Dorgu are not on the left.
Who will be Manchester United’s most important attacking player when Mbeumo and Amad depart for the AFCON?
Who do YOU think is going to STEP UP?
Speaking on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast, the ex-United defender said: “You want to have that [energy] at wing-back.
“Amad Diallo can do it. He’s going to lose a few at the back-post, I suppose, every now and again, but you can see the difference in age.
“I just feel with Manchester United at the moment, a lot of our good possession and where we’re strong is on the right-hand side.”
Wes Brown spotlights the Man Utd partnership between Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo in the 2025-26 season
United signed Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford back in the summer and the 26-year-old Cameroon international has been in red-hot form with the Red Devils.
Amad’s chemistry with United summer signing Mbeumo has been evident and Brown feels that the left flank lacks the same synergy in Ruben Amorim’s tactical system.
WHAT would be your dream January transfer window for Manchester United?💰🔥
“Our left probably isn’t as strong and it would be nice to see that so United can [work in] both ways,” Brown added.
“Everybody knows Bryan Mbeumo and Amad. When they get on the ball, it’s dangerous. It’s not exactly the same on that left-hand side.”
Amad has netted once and registered three assists in 13 matches across all competitions for United in the 2025-26 campaign at Old Trafford.
Mbeumo, who arrived at Old Trafford for an initial £65m transfer fee back in July, has scored six times and picked up an assist in 14 appearances this season.
