Alex Telles was left “frustrated” after Manchester United surrendered a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 against Aston Villa.
The left-back came back into the side for the trip to Villa Park in place of the suspended Luke Shaw.
The former Porto man’s return to Ralf Rangnick’s starting line-up came two days after earning a recall into the Brazil squad.
After five straight Premier League starts, Telles had been an unused substitute for the last two top-flight matches and in the FA Cup win against Steven Gerrard’s side.

But he was back in the first 11 for the clash in the Midlands, which United seemingly looked to set to win, up until we capitulated.
After a Bruno Fernandes brace, the Reds went into final 15 minutes with a 2-0 lead, but two goals in the space of five minutes from Jacob Ramsey and Phillipe Coutinho left United reeling.
Telles posted on Instagram after the match, which highlighted his dismay in the manner of which United crumbled.
Impressive return from Telles

With neither Shaw or Telles seemingly establishing themselves as the number one left-back under Rangnick, the 29-year-old showcased the qualities he brings to the United side with a solid all-round performance.
No player from either team had more touches than Telles (101) against Villa, and no player won more aerial duels than the Brazilian international (4), according to WhoScored.
He was a constant outlet down United’s left-hand side and linked up well with Fernandes and youngster Anthony Elanga.

No United player won more tackles (4) than Telles, and he also made two interceptions and two clearances.
With Shaw back available for Wednesday’s trip to Brentford, Alex Telles will be hoping he’s done enough to retain his place in the Manchester United starting line-up.
