Bruno Fernandes quickly established himself as Manchester United’s main man following his arrival in January.
Alex Telles only joined the club in the summer but he’s already realised the influence the Portuguese midfielder has on the team.
The Brazilian defender has hailed Bruno during an interview with the club’s official website, calling him United’s ‘main player’ right now.

“Me and Bruno have known each other for a while now,” Telles said. Bruno has always stood out wherever he played and he is undoubtedly our main player here today.
“He’s a guy with a massive heart and immense quality, it’s there for everybody to see. It’s a pleasure to play with him. He is a great guy who is always willing to help everybody and he really makes a difference.
“He’s a decisive player. He may not stand out in one game or another, but he’s still decisive. When he’s in front of goal or from a free-kick, or penalty, he’s always showing his quality.
“He’s got a strong mind and personality in his vision and thinking. It’s a source of pride and an honour to have someone like this in the team, someone that can help and motivate us in every game.
“

Since his arrival, Bruno has challenged the accepted wisdom that January signings need a period of adjustment before they can be expected to have a big impact.
He came in and hit the ground running, inspiring United’s charge into the top four last season and continuing to lead the way this term.
Telles and Fernandes were rivals in Portugal last season, so the former is as well-placed as any United player to judge the latter’s quality.
There’s a frantic festive period coming up but it remains to be seen how much rest Fernandes gets, because he has that big an impact on United’s attacking play.
