Manchester United whizkid Alejandro Garnacho made a stunning impact in the team’s win at Everton this past weekend.
When you score a goal like Alejandro Garnacho did against Everton, accolades will come your way. Garth Crooks admitted that the strike alone earned his place in the BBC team of the week, while Gary Neville said he named him his man of the match on Sky Sports due to his incredible overhead kick.
Manchester United fans disagreed, with supporters voting Kobbie Mainoo the man of the match.
Now, Alejandro Garnacho himself has had his say, and picked out his own choice.

Alejandro Garnacho’s man of the match
Alejandro Garnacho has named Kobbie Mainoo as his man of the match following the 3-0 win at Goodison Park.
He wrote in reply to Mainoo’s Instagram page, “My man of the match.”
There were also responses from Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Amad, while Hannibal had already dubbed him ‘MVP’.

Mainoo passes the test
Kobbie Mainoo was making his first Premier League start for Manchester United, and his first appearance of the season.
He was so calm in possession, and made a vital contribution off the ball too, making a clearance off the line to deny Everton an equaliser, showing excellent alertness.
Manchester United supporters knew Mainoo was capable of this, but had some worry about the occasion, whether it was the right time to throw him in, but we need not have worried. Mainoo has an excellent temperament, and looks to be a solution for the team’s midfield problems.
He has the respect of his teammates clearly, and Garnacho knows him better than most, winning the FA Youth Cup alongside him in 2022.
