Manchester United return to Premier League action this weekend when they take on relegation battlers Brighton.

The reverse fixture back in September was a thrilling encounter.

Bruno Fernandes scored a penalty to win the match 3-2 which was given by VAR after the final whistle had blown.

In truth, United got away with one that day and they’ll hope to play a lot better at Old Trafford.

Man Utd v Brighton team news

Paul Pogba played 90 minutes for France against Bosnia and Herzegovina in midweek as he stepped up his return from injury.

Marcus Rashford missed all three of England’s matches and Mason Greenwood pulled out of the Under 21 European Championship.

Phil Jones and Juan Mata definitely won’t play, while Anthony Martial picked up a knee injury on international duty, making him a doubt.

Our prediction: Man Utd v Brighton

Brighton like to come and play football, which should leave space for United to operate in.

This is the kind of game United simply have to be winning to keep a solid grip on second place.

Hopefully fatigue isn’t a factor after the international break, with United maybe a little light on attacking options.

Our prediction: United 3-1 Brighton
