Ruben Amorim tasted the bitter taste of defeat for the very first time on Wednesday night against Arsenal.
For the very first time all season, Ruben Amorim was on the losing side in league action with Arsenal beating Manchester United 2-0 at the Emirates.
There were several impressive performers for Manchester United, although ultimately a lack of attacking output meant taking three points would always have proved difficult.

However, on the night when Tyrell Malacia made his Premier League return, United were undone by corners – as Mikel Arteta’s awful brand of football saw the Gunners struggle to create much else.
As Matthijs de Ligt stated post-game, there are positives and negatives, so here are the decisions Amorim made right and wrong against Arsenal.

Giving Leny Yoro 31 minutes of action
The highlight of the game from a United standpoint was that Amorim gave 19-year-old Leny Yoro minutes and his United debut.
Yoro looked the part in his cameo, upon returning from a nearly five-month injury lay-off.
His return is a timely boost for United and we expect he will only improve as match sharpness improves along with his partnerships in the team. The quicker he gets minutes, the quicker he will show his incredible potential.
Noussair Mazraoui as a left centre-back
With both Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw out, many pondered who would step in with 16-year-old Godwill Kukonki as the one natural option to fill that left-sided centre-back role.
However, we should have predicted that Noussair Mazraoui would step in with ease and dominate in the position – as he does in almost every position he plays.
Mazraoui looked slightly less comfortable than on the right, although he was definitely the best selection for this role here.
Not playing Marcus Rashford after brace against Everton

Last weekend, United were a vastly different attacking outfit to the one on display against Arsenal, and one factor will have been the lack of Marcus Rashford.
After resting Alejandro Garnacho at the weekend, Rashford was on the bench here but this decision was poor and with the Argentine offering very little going forward, things may have been better with the No.10.
We understand the decision and rotation, but there are better games to do this in.

Amad Diallo should have started
Like Rashford, another player in top form right now is Amad Diallo and yet he found himself on the bench.
Amad was likely on the bench due to Amorim not only rotating but perhaps going for a more defensive pairing to combat the dangers Arsenal presented.
However, with so few threats from Diogo Dalot, Amad should have started – with the Europa League in a week, which would be a good chance to rest him.
