Amad Diallo has taken his opportunity in the starting lineup with both hands.
Manchester United beat Leicester City 3-0 on Sunday afternoon to end Ruud van Nistelrooy’s four-match stint as interim manager.
The Dutchman now faces a wait to find out his future under Ruben Amorim, who will take charge of the Red Devils on Monday morning.
Van Nistelrooy took charge of United when they were on a run of just one win in their last eight matches. Four games and three wins later, he now boasts the highest win percentage of any United manager in history.
He has brought goals and excitement back to this United side, and Amad Diallo has played a huge part in that.

Amad Diallo has been incredible under Ruud van Nistelrooy
Amad started the season brightly for United but drifted out of Ten Hag’s plans. He was brought back into the starting lineup by Van Nistelrooy and has not disappointed.
During the 2-0 Europa League win over PAOK, Amad showed Ten Hag what he was missing as he scored both goals as part of an excellent performance.
The 22-year-old kept his starting spot on the right wing against Leicester City and was superb again in the 3-0 victory on Sunday afternoon.
United fans were delighted with Amad’s performance and he sent a clear message to Amorim that he is ready to fight for a spot in his 3-4-3 setup.
Amad Diallo’s incredible numbers vs Leicester City
Bruno Fernandes will hog the headlines after scoring the opener and playing a key role in the second, but Amad was equally as impressive against Leicester.
He ended the match with 50 touches, one assist and one key pass. His defensive numbers were equally as impressive with Amad winning nine ground duels and two tackles all while only losing possession 12 times.

It was a superb showing on the right, but perhaps his most impressive statistic against Leicester was his dribbling numbers.
As pointed out by TNT Sports, Amad completed five of his six dribble attempts against Leicester. Remarkably, that is more than all of his starting teammates combined.
Amorim often plays with two No.10s behind a central striker and they are expected to be comfortable on the ball and driving play forward. Amad ticks those boxes and has put himself in pole position to earn a starting spot under United’s new boss.
