Man of the match v Nottingham Forest
The picture above shows Casemiro head and shoulders above everybody else, and this encapsulated his display at Old Trafford.
Manchester United fans felt strongly that Casemiro was the best player on the pitch. A man of the match vote on the club’s official website saw fans vote strongly in his favour.
- Casemiro: 57 per cent
- Marcus Rashford: 34 per cent
- All other players three per cent or less
Rashford scored a goal and provided an assist and was still a distant second to Casemiro, which shows just how well the Brazilian played.
He was back in midfield after a run-out at centre-back against Burnley, and played like he was a step ahead of everybody else.
Manchester United fans have waited a long time for a player like Casemiro. Thankfully he is ours, and even better than anybody hoped.
