Manchester United took the bragging rights in the North West derby on Sunday, completing a rare double over Liverpool.
After a 2-1 win at Anfield back in October, Manchester United claimed a 3-2 win against Liverpool on Sunday to complete the double and secure Champions League football.
It was a classic Premier League clash, as United threw away a 2-0 lead, to then make the win even sweeter when Kobbie Mainoo scored the winner.

24 hours removed from United’s win over Liverpool, and fans have had their say over the man of the match, with the outcome pretty unanimous after a long period of voting.
With 71 per cent, Mainoo is the runaway man of the match winner.

This is far from a shocking outcome, with Mainoo’s performance really impressive both with his goal and defensive work covering for Casemiro, who was caught out of position on multiple occasions.
It wasn’t only fans who rated Mainoo’s outing, with Rio Ferdinand also hailing Mainoo for his display as he stepped up for United, and he also earned recognition from Marcus Rashford.
Mainoo was even praised by Roy Keane, after his pre-game criticism of the 21-year-old, stating that he wasn’t yet convinced.
TalkingPoints users’ vote was almost identical to the poll United’s official website held, with Mainoo also running away with it at 68 per cent.
