Manchester United sealed UCL qualification in style with a commanding 3-2 win against Liverpool at Old Trafford.
A fast start by Man Utd was rewarded almost immediately as Matheus Cunha surfed his way to a goal from a snapshot just after five minutes.
Benjamin Sesko sent United into dreamland soon after, doubling the lead in the 14th minute with an instinctive finish in the box. That’s how the game stayed until half-time, with Utd missing more chances.
Reality hit United just as hard as dreamland did, with Amad and Senne Lammens dragging Liverpool back into it with two errors leading to goals within 15 minutes of the second half.
Liverpool kept threatening, but the goal came from Kobbie Mainoo at the Stretford End to restore the lead. Utd saw the game out after making it needlessly nervy.
