Manchester United take on Brighton on Saturday as they aim to build momentum after a winning start to the new Premier League season.

It’s been a promising first week of the new campaign for Manchester United, who followed up the double swoop signings of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui with a winning start to 2024/25.

Erik ten Hag’s side scrapped past a combative Fulham with a narrow 1-0 victory at Old Trafford last Friday, with debutant Joshua Zirkzee grabbing the late winner.

United have a tougher test in their first away day of the season as they travel south to take on Brighton this weekend.

The Seagulls sit at the top of the table after defeating Everton 3-0 in their opening match and have added more attacking talent with the signing of Georginio Rutter this week.

If United are to prove they’ve turned a corner, then they will have to put in a good performance against a very dangerous side.

Here is everything you need to know about the match.

Brighton vs Man Utd prediction

United did play some good football against Fulham but were on the backfoot for as just as long as they were in control. If the Cottagers had more quality in attack, they could have seriously hurt United.

Brighton do have that quality and have shown multiple times they are more than capable of hurting United in recent seasons. This will be a tough game for Ten Hag’s side.

Prediction: Brighton 2-2 United
