Manchester United drew to Aston Villa 0 – 0 in a drab Super Sunday match in the Premier League.
In a game that was make or break for Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag, his fate at Old Trafford hangs firmly in the balance after a scoreless draw.
It was a match with not much to note. Jonny Evans played a blinder against the Villans – and that was about it. It’s left Red Devils supporters with a feeling of uncertainty heading into the international break.
A fixture with nothing to write home about was made worse given the latest injury to Harry Maguire – who was forced off at halftime after sustaining an injury in the dying embers of the first 45.

Harry Maguire issues statement following injury vs Aston Villa
The England international took to social media to immediately react to the Premier League fixture – without providing an update on his potential knock.
Maguire wrote: ‘Not what we came for but things to build on – Thanks for the support.’
Fans expressed concerns for the 31-year-old in the comments but will have to wait till the extent of the injury is revealed.
How bad is Harry Maguire’s latest injury?
Maguire was seen leaving Villa Park in a protective plastic boot – so it’s not looking good for the £80m man.
In a post-match interview, Ten Hag was also asked about Maguire’s injury, to which he responded: “He didn’t feel well after half-time, so I had to take him off.”
Not much clarification there, so an update will surely be given in due time. Stay tuned for the latest Maguire injury updates on United in Focus.
