Manchester United just gave their fans the highlight of the 23/24 season.
Erik ten Hag‘s side fought valiantly to get a 3-2 win at Old Trafford. The Red Devils found themselves 2-0 down in the first half, which made fans think it would be another night to forget this season.
It turned out to be one to remember. An Alejandro Garnacho double and a Rasmus Hojlund strike gave United all three points on Boxing Day, adding to their sensational record.
Manchester United were brilliant in that second half, with one player in particular taking most of the plaudits.

Danny Murphy on Alejandro Garnacho
Alejandro Garnacho inspired the second-half comeback. Without a doubt.
The Argentine was simply sensational under the lights at the Theatre of Dreams. Ten Hag decided to play him on the right wing, and was greatly rewarded with a stellar performance.
“Garnacho, I thought he was outstanding,” Danny Murphy said on Match of the Day. “Playing on the right-hand side.
“He’d been switched to the right to bring Rashford in, he looked more comfortable, more productive. Rashford looked happy and they were at it in the second half.
“The body language was a little bit different from both of them. On that right-hand side, he [Garnacho] can go both ways. He’s more right-footed, so it works.”
It was a bold move from the manager, who has dropped Rashford in previous games in favour of playing Garnacho in his supposedly favoured position of left-wing.
This game may have turned the tides of Manchester United’s front three and goalscoring problems going forward.
Garnacho and Rashford to switch makes sense now
The dynamism in that second half from Manchester United’s attacking trio was great to watch. For the first time in a while, they looked seriously dangerous in attacking phases.
Garnacho on the right was a huge catalyst for this, so he should be played there going forward.
Three goals in a match is a hugely promising sign. Let’s grab some more against Forest.
