Manchester United’s line-up to face Everton has been confirmed.

Michael Carrick has named the Manchester United starting XI and substitutes to face Everton.

The Red Devils are returning to action for the first time in a fortnight, following the draw at West Ham in the last fixture.

Lisandro Martinez misses out

Lisandro Martinez is not included in the Manchester United line-up due to an injury.

It was reported via The Athletic that Martinez has ‘calf discomfort’ and has not been made available. He is expected to return to training later this week.

Leny Yoro steps in as Martinez’s replacement for the fixture, preferred to Ayden Heaven. Jack Moorhouse steps up to the bench.

Benjamin Sesko has to settle for a place as a substitute again, despite his impressive recent record.

Manchester United look for payback, and to capitalise

Manchester United were defeated 1-0 at home to Everton in the previous meeting between the two teams.

Ruben Amorim was in charge for that fixture, and it was one of the most frustrating results during his 14 months of management.

Current replacement Michael Carrick has United in good form heading into this game. He is five games unbeaten in charge, winning four.

United are actually looking to record a 10th game in a row in the Premier League without defeat, a feat not accomplished by the club since 2021.

Ideally, Carrick’s side can kick on and get all three points, and capitalise on Chelsea’s draw at the weekend.

We can move three points clear of Chelsea, and also cut the gap on third place Aston Villa to just three points.
