Manchester United’s fans played a huge part in pushing the team to victory over Atalanta.
The noise at Old Trafford helped inspire United’s 3-2 comeback win, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the winner.
The support was praised by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after the match, and goal hero Ronaldo has had his say too.
Sending a message on Instagram earlier, Ronaldo described the Old Trafford crowd as ‘amazing’ in a dedicated thank you post.

It is nice for Ronaldo to acknowledge the support of the crowd, and it makes such a difference to his return.
Last season Tottenham welcomed home former star Gareth Bale for a long awaited homecoming, and it fell completely flat, with no fans in the stadium to celebrate his return.
Ronaldo’s return to United is a comeback at the perfect time, with supporters allowed back into Old Trafford once again.
The atmosphere was fantastic and United have now recorded two home wins out of two, with a match at home to Young Boys left.
Before that, there are two away games, and Atalanta and Villarreal’s crowds will be bidding to try and make their mark on the matches too.
Next up United’s crowd will look to inspire once again when the team face Liverpool at the weekend.
