Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates Manchester United win over Villa
Cristiano Ronaldo is celebrating Manchester United’s win over Aston Villa.
Ronaldo missed the win at Old Trafford due to an injury which saw Ralf Rangnick decide not to risk him.
It is always a gamble to leave Ronaldo out of a cup tie, and fortunately this time United got away with it.
Ronaldo was happy and relieved to see United win the game 1-0, with Scott McTominay netting an early header, just like he did against Watford in the FA Cup third round last year.
RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.
United’s number 7 posted a couple of emojis to his Instagram stories celebrating United’s win at the final whistle.
Onto the next round
United lived dangerously against Aston Villa, with the visitors seeing two second half goals disallowed.
Ralf Rangnick has now won three games as United boss by a 1-0 scoreline, and he will be pleased with the clean sheet.
Villa caused United problems and next week’s Premier League game away from home is going to be tough. Ronaldo should be back for that one.
United are into the next round of the FA Cup after this win and a home tie against Championship side Middlesbrough awaits.
