The latest addition to Manchester United’s talented academy is Samuel Lusale from Crystal Palace.

Manchester United’s academy has begun this season along similar lines to how last season ended with excellent form and looking levels above the opposition.

Jack Fletcher has blossomed into one of the most exciting players, while Gabriele Biancheri cannot stop scoring at both the U18 and U21 levels.

It therefore seems unfair that with so many impressive names in the ranks, Manchester United are continuing to add talents.

Chido Obi-Martin from Arsenal is one very exciting potential addition as we await Premier League ratification for his move. Meanwhile, Samuel Lusale has already arrived from Crystal Palace – but now he has been pictured at Old Trafford.

Samuel Lusale now pictured at Old Trafford

Lusale’s move to United has been months in the making, with July being when reports first surfaced that he would be making the switch to Old Trafford from Selhurst Park. Now, it’s all done as Lusale has even said his goodbyes to Crystal Palace.

But now finally he has been spotted and pictured holding up a United shirt which had ‘Lusale 7’ on the back – a clear sign of the level of player United believe they have managed to sign as he dons the famous No.7, albeit at a youth level.

The image has been shared by Secret Scout on X with the move now officially all done.

Lusale can be seen in the image standing at Old Trafford, a venue he will now be dreaming of stepping out into as the Stretford End applaud him.

However, he won’t get this for at least a few years yet and is likely to head into the U18 side when he makes his first performance.

What to expect from Manchester United’s latest recruit

Lusale is likely to slot into Adam Lawrence’s U18 side, where he will likely take James Scanlon’s place as the left-winger for the side – Scanlon in turn will move up to U21 level.

Most recently, Lusale made a dazzling impact for Slovakia’s U18 side which will have reminded fans of what he is capable of after a few months without competitive action for the winger.

Lusale has been viewed as one of the best young talents in the country and it is a real coup for United to sign him – despite it being somewhat overshadowed by Obi’s arrival.

Ineos’ commitment to investing in the academy is commendable and in theory, it should bear fruits for years to come if even half of these players make it.
