Manchester United youngster Ethan Ennis says he is making progress from his torn ACL.
Ethan Ennis quit Liverpool’s academy in 2021 to join Manchester United, and enjoyed a strong debut season for the under-18s.
He scored 10 goals and provided three assists, and shone last pre-season in a tournament in Northern Ireland, before disaster struck.
Ennis suffered an ACL injury, just days after teammate Ruben Curley had the same poor luck, and has missed the entire 2022/23 campaign.
Ethan Ennis injury update
Ethan Ennis posted to his Instagram stories to share that he is now back wearing football boots as he steps up his recovery.
While the under-18s season is now over, Ennis is targeting being ready for the 2023/24 season.
He posted a caption which read simply: “Slowly but surely”.

It is an encouraging step for Ennis to take this step forward. It follows teammate Ruben Curley, who also shared similar progress recently.
United will not rush either player back before they are ready, and nor would it be fair to expect Ennis to step back in exactly where he left off. But at some point next season, he will hopefully get back to the levels he showed he is capable of.
Still only 18, there is plenty of time left for Ennis to turn his Manchester United career into a success.
