Diego Leon completed his move to Manchester United in the summer after the Red Devils announced back in January that the former Cerro Porteno talent had signed.
The Paraguayan wonderkid was only 17 years old at the time of United’s initial announcement, with Leon turning 18 years old in April ahead of his summer move.
Leon linked up with United in July and the ex-Cerro Porteno defender was part of the pre-season summer tour under Red Devils manager Ruben Amorim.
The United talent featured during the pre-season campaign and has remained at Old Trafford in the summer instead of being sent out on loan for the 2025-26 season.

Leon started the Premier League 2 match at the Liverpool Training Centre and played until half-time before he was hooked off for James Scanlon.
However, The Daily Mail reports that the United wonderkid has a ‘long way’ ahead of him before ‘getting any action for the first team’ under Ruben Amorim.
According to the newspaper, Leon ‘found it difficult to establish’ a dynamic with Bendito Mantato and there was a lack of ‘rhythm’ between the pair on the left side.

Liverpool Under-21s broke the deadlock in the first half after Michael Laffey opened the scoring against United Under-21s at the Liverpool Training Centre.
Leon was also booked during his first match for the United Under-21s, with the newspaper saying that he committed a ‘cynical challenge’ after losing a duel.
