Gabriele Biancheri has emerged as a super talent this season for Manchester United and Wales.

The 18-year-old has been truly sensational in front of goal.

Across both U18 and U21 football this season, Manchester United’s lethal young Welshman has been finding goal-scoring a piece of cake.

Gabriele Biancheri has scored 17 goals across all competitions for the Red Devils so far, and he is also developing his overall play.

Biancheri’s 17 goals have come through various methods. He thrives on finishing chances in the six-yard box but is also now starting to create his own chances and goals.

Biancheri has been the best player in the academy this season, and it seems a matter of time before he is given a chance in the first team under Ruben Amorim’s new rule.

But this week, Biancheri is with Wales U19.

Gabriele Biancheri scores for Wales U19

Biancheri’s goal-scoring exploits for United have taken a hiatus this week and next as he heads off once more with Wales’ U21 squad.

This meant Biancheri missed the United U21’s 4-1 loss against Huddersfield. But his scoring has not stopped.

Wednesday saw Biancheri start for Wales U19s as they took on Scotland in U19 European Championships qualifying. It was game one of the group as Wales’ 1-0 win leaves them 2nd in the group behind France.

Wales’ only goal came by way of Biancheri as he continued his hot streak for his country as well. This goal came one month after Biancheri scored in consecutive games against Italy.

Biancheri scored in the 18th minute and demonstrated his positioning for the goal as he got himself in the perfect position to capitalise on the Wales low cross to get himself a tap-in.

Biancheri makes case for Wales senior cap

By scoring once again, Biancheri is becoming as inevitable for his country as he has been for his club this season.

Due to this, his latest goal could be read as him sending a message to the senior Wales manager Craig Bellamy – with the message being that he is ready for a senior call-up.

Wales could feel inclined to hand Biancheri an early call-up and cap at this rate to try and secure his services for the rest of his career.

This is because the teenager is also eligible for Italy and could be on their radar soon due to his goal-scoring exploits.

So with this in mind, if goals continue to flow for Biancheri, come March, Wales could be handing him a senior call-up.
