Former Manchester United youth prospect Jack Kingdon has agreed to sign for a new club.

Jack Kingdon has signed with Yeovil Town as he bids to give his career a new spark.

Posting on Instagram after the move was confirmed, he wrote: “New chapter. New challenge. Delighted to have signed for this huge club @ytfcofficial . Can’t wait to get started.”

Yeovil confirmed the centre-back has signed a one-year contract with an option of a further year.

The club wrote in a statement: “Comfortable on the ball and composed in possession, Kingdon is a modern centre-back who has built a reputation for his leadership, reading of the game and ability to step into senior football at a young age.”

Jack Kingdon left United in 2025

Kingdon left Manchester United in June 2025, writing at the time: “After nearly 5 years at this club, it is my time to move onto the next chapter in my career. The experiences this club has given me I will always be grateful for.”

The young defender signed with Cardiff City’s development squad, but failed to make a first team appearance for the Welsh side.

He is now looking to reboot his career with Yeovil Town, who are competing in the National League.

Kingdon, 20, previously played in the division on loan at Rochdale, making 16 appearances.

Kingdon’s United spell

Manchester United signed Jack Kingdon from Morecambe in late 2020 when the defender was 15.

Kingdon made his debut for Manchester United’s under-18s when he was still 15, and played a key role in the team winning the youth title in 2023/24. He also captained the side.

He was called up to train with Manchester United’s first team in April 2024 under Erik ten Hag amid a defensive injury crisis.

Kingdon is also a Scotland youth international, representing his country up to under-20 level.
