Manchester United announced the departures of nine players who will be released at the end of their contracts in June 30.
United have released three first team players and six academy prospects, with Jonny Evans departing the Red Devils for the second time in his career.
His exit along with Victor Lindelof and Christian Eriksen removes some experience from the squad, but it is time to move forward.
The departures of the academy prospects is a reminder that not every young player can make it at Old Trafford.

Victor Lindelof
- Victor Lindelof has now signed a deal to stay in the Premier League, signing with Aston Villa.
Christian Eriksen
- Christian Eriksen has agreed a deal to join German club Wolfsburg. He completed his move in September 2025.

Jonny Evans
- N/A – Jonny Evans has decided to retire, announcing his decision immediately following United’s postseason friendly with Hong Kong.
Sam Murray
- Sam Murray has signed with Carlisle United, who were relegated into the National League last season.
Tom Wooster
- Tom Wooster signed a deal with West Ham’s development squad.

James Nolan
- James Nolan has signed a deal with non-league club Marine FC.
Tom Myles
- Tom Myles has clinched a move to National League side Rochdale.
Jack Kingdon
- Jack Kingdon has signed a deal with League One side Cardiff City.
