Manchester United and England legend Wayne Rooney has now dropped his all-important predictions for this summer’s World Cup tournament in North America.
The World Cup will be held in the United States, North America and Mexico and several Manchester United first-team players will be at the tournament.
FIFA’s distinguished competition will kick off on 11th June, with tournament co-hosts Mexico facing South Africa in their Group A opener at the World Cup.
Wayne Rooney, who played at multiple World Cups with England, was asked to name a player who is on his radar as a ‘one to watch’ at the competition this summer.

Elliot Anderson has attracted interest from Manchester United and the 23-year-old Nottingham Forest midfielder has been linked with a potential move to Old Trafford.
However, United face tough competition for Elliot Anderson, with Manchester City equally keen to land the Nottingham Forest and England star this summer.
Anderson is under contract at City Ground until 2029 and Forest are believed to be demanding a whopping £125m transfer fee for the United-linked midfielder.

Man Utd’s all-time leading scorer has also backed former England teammate Harry Kane to come out of the FIFA tournament as the top scorer.
Rooney revealed that Ecuador are his pick for the ‘dark horse’ of the World Cup, while he predicted Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane to be his ‘Player of the Tournament.’
England will begin their World Cup campaign under Thomas Tuchel on 17th June in their Group L opener against Croatia at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
