A Manchester United player is guaranteed to win World Cup 2022, now the semi-finals have been completed.
Argentina will take on France in the World Cup final in Qatar, to be played on Sunday, meaning Manchester United are guaranteed a champion.
This fixture will pit Manchester United’s two defensive partners up against one another – and there can only be one winner.
Lisandro Martinez‘s Argentina will face off with Raphael Varane‘s France.
How Argentina reached the World Cup final
Argentina defeated Croatia 3-0 in the semi-finals, with Lionel Messi the star of the show. Martinez was a second half substitute, playing the final 30 minutes.
They beat Netherlands in the quarter-finals on penalties, and Australia in the last 16.
In the group they bounced back from a shock loss to Saudi Arabia, beating Mexico and Poland.

How France reached the World Cup final
France beat Morocco 2-0 in the semi-finals. Raphael Varane was in the starting line-up and played all 90 minutes.
They beat England in the quarter-finals, winning 2-1, with Harry Kane missing a late penalty to send the tie to extra-time.
France won their group, finishing above Australia, Denmark, and Tunisia.
Manchester United player wins World Cup twice in a row
This will be the second World Cup in a row a Manchester United player has won the trophy. Paul Pogba was part of the France side in 2018, when he was a Red Devils star. He is not part of the squad this time around, and has since left United.
Then a Real Madrid player, Raphael Varane was part of that squad and is looking to win his second World Cup in a row.
When is the World Cup final
The World Cup final will be held on Sunday December 18, and it takes place at 3pm.
