Wout Weghorst appears to be a serious striker target for Manchester United, first reported by Footmercato.
The claims have since been backed up, with Fabrizio Romano verifying United’s interest in the Dutch international striker.

Weghorst talks ongoing
Weghorst is on loan at Besiktas from Burnley, and has been a regular for the Turkish side this season.
He has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 16 games. A deal this early in the transfer window would at least allow time for Besiktas to sign a replacement.
Weghorst’s reported desire to make the switch could be influential. And in his recent performance for Besiktas, it has been widely interpreted that he could have been saying goodbye to supporters.
The Athletic also report United have held ‘exploratory talks’ with Weghorst, seen as a ‘genuine option’ for United’s striker problem.
The Red Devils are light in attack after Cristiano Ronaldo‘s exit and Weghorst can give Erik ten Hag a very different option up front, either as a starter or from the bench.
Weghorst is a Netherlands international who netted twice at the World Cup against Argentina. As a short-term loan, the 30-year-old could be an efficient signing for United.
