Manchester United have been a little busier in January 2023 than in January 2022, when the club did not sign a single player.
Back in January 2020 the club signed Bruno Fernandes, which made a major difference to the club’s season. In January 2021 the only big piece of business was Amad’s transfer being finalised.
Last year the club had an interim manager. This time around permanent boss Erik ten Hag stated his desire to bring in new signings at the start of the month.
He told the club website: “I do research on every opportunity that comes. We do everything we can if that opportunity will be there.”
