Manchester United have a desire to scour the globe for top young talent to add into the academy.
Along with a busy summer in the transfer market, Manchester United investors Ineos also made it part of their mission to strengthen the academy.
These deals could bear fruit in years to come, with United fans hoping to see more of Chido Obi-Martin, Samuel Lusale and Sekou Kone.
A young talent now claimed to also be on United’s radar is Angel Yondjo.

Who is Angel Yondjo?
Angel Yondjo is a striker hailing from Cameroon, who is reported to have attracted the attention of Manchester United scouts.
Africa Foot report Manchester United and Chelsea are keen on Yondjo, who has represented Cameroon at under-20 level.
Yondjo, 17, is playing at an academy in Cameroon, and is on the radar of several French teams, including Ineos-owned Nice. Africa Foot also claim interest from Austrian side RB Salzburg.
He featured for Cameroon’s under-20 in the recent Uniffac tournament, an international competition for countries in the Central African Football Federation, where he scored twice to help his side reach the semi-finals.
Yondjo previously featured at the under-17s Uniffac tournament in 2017 where he finished as top goalscorer and also won the best player award, per Afrik Sports Magazine.
As Yondjo only turns 18 in February, United would have to wait until next summer to sign him.
Nice’s interest could provide a possible path to United, as the French club would be able to land him in the next window.
African talent
Africa is a market Manchester United have rarely tapped into when it comes to recruiting directly, until this past summer.
Sekou Kone was signed directly from a side in his native Mali, and United could look to repeat this move with Yondjo.
United also have an ace in the pack, with Cameroon international goalkeeper Andre Onana on the books.
If Yondjo can hold on until next summer, rather than signing with a club in January, then United stand a very strong chance to bring him in.
