Manchester United’s plans for the summer transfer window are beginning to take shape, with Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh among the targets.
For Ineos, the 2026 summer transfer window could make or break a potential title charge next season, and the grand plans to overhaul midfield are no secret.
However, this won’t be the only position that is on the agenda, with some interesting young talents being considered.
United are keeping an eye on Caleb Yirenkyi, who is supposedly the next Michael Essien and Brighton’s Carlos Baleba replacement.
Now, another young talent is being looked at in the form of Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh, but who is the talented 19-year-old? Here is all you need to know.
Do you agree with Ineos’ recruitment model of signing wonderkids?
Manchester United considering a move to sign Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh
Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh is an impressive prospect currently breaking through at Norwegian outfit Tromso.
Word of the youngster has been spreading quickly, and there appears to be a big transfer chase in 2026.

It is according to the Daily Mail that United are lining up to swoop for the defender.
However, United are not alone, facing competition from Chelsea, with both weighing up making a move in the summer transfer window.
But United could end up missing out with the Swiss duo Basel and Young Boys considering a possible transfer before their deadline closes on February 16th.
The Swiss clubs are thinking that they would make a healthy profit on Kinteh by paying the demanded £4m fee now and selling for more in the near future.
However, this could also be a chance for Ineos to act and sign Kinteh to Lausanne before later moving him to Old Trafford.

Who is Abubacarr Sedi Kinteh?
Kinteh is a 19-year-old central defender currently playing for Tromso in Norway.
He is a Gambian international and only turned 19 in November. Kinteh’s move to Tromso was from Senegalese side Mawade Wade, which had an alliance with the Norwegian side.
It was initially a trial; however, he impressed so much that Tromso handed out a five-year contract.
As a player, Kinteh is a left-sided central defender who is absolutely rapid, being clocked at 37km/h which would be on par with Micky van de Ven, the quickest player in the Premier League.
