Manchester United continue to be linked with Lyon midfielder Rayan Cherki ahead of the summer transfer window.
Signing attacking reinforcements will be at the top of Ruben Amorim’s shopping list this summer after he has seen several results thrown away by Manchester United’s lack of a goal threat.
A striker will be signed and Liam Delap is keen to join United ahead of Chelsea this summer. United are closing in on Matheus Cunha too after holding positive talks with the Wolves star.
But with Ineos planning over £100 million in sales with the likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony expected to leave, Amorim will need extra depth up front and out wide.
Alongside Cunha, another No.10 could be signed and United are showing an interest in Rayan Cherki.

Rayan Cherki’s agent contacts Man United
United fans will be familiar with the 21-year-old talent after Cherki scored for Lyon at Old Trafford in the Europa League quarter-finals.
Rio Ferdinand was wowed by Cherki during United’s dramatic 5-4 win over the French outfit, and a summer deal remains on the cards.
According to Caught Offside, Rayan Cherki’s agents have contacted both Manchester United and Liverpool over potentially signing the French star this summer.
There are other clubs in the chase, and reports claim United are ahead of Real Madrid to sign Cherki as he prepares to leave Lyon for around £25 million.
However, United’s budget and transfer plans will be dictated by the result of Wednesday’s Europa League final against Tottenham.
Man United warned about Rayan Cherki’s attitude
United tried to sign Cherki at 15 years old, so he is someone who has been on the transfer radar for a while.
At the time, United chose to walk away from a deal as there were some concerns about maturity and attitude.
While Cherki has grown to become a key player in this Lyon side, there are still some red flags United should be aware of.

United have been warned about Cherki’s attitude ahead of a potential summer deal, but it seems Ineos might consider it a risk worth taking.
Cherki has been compared to Eric Cantona due to his character and confidence, but it can swing both ways and United fans are fed up of egos in the dressing room.
