Marcus Rashford still faces an uncertain future with just over a week remaining in the January transfer window.
After being dropped from the squad for December’s Manchester derby, Marcus Rashford publicly announced he was ready for a new challenge away from Manchester United.
Rashford has been left out of the matchday squad for eight of the last nine games, with Ruben Amorim keen to make an example of the uncommitted forward.
There has been non-stop speculation regarding a January move, with Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan among the clubs in the race to sign him on loan.
Rashford could still remain at Old Trafford unless an agreement is reached with one of the interested clubs.

Barcelona issue warning to Marcus Rashford
Rashford’s preference is to join Barcelona if he leaves United.
However, that move will be complicated given the current financial situation at Barcelona, which has led to new signings such as Dani Olmo and Pau Victor being unable to register themselves.
Barcelona are also stocked with plenty of quality in attack, so questions are being asked of Rashford, who has underperformed for over two years at United.
Transfer expert Graeme Bailey has explained to United in Focus that Barcelona are set to make an approach to United over Rashford, having previously held discussions with the player’s representatives.
It is understood that United are concerned about Barcelona’s inability to offer guaranteed first team football. Barcelona manager Hansi Flick already has Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha at his disposal.
Furthermore, Barcelona do not want an obligation included in any deal, as they would prefer to commit to an option based clause.
The La Liga giants are unwilling to cover Rashford’s full salary and it remains to be seen if United will listen to any offers that would see a potential suitor cover at least half of his wages.
Rashford saga could go either way
Up until this point of the January transfer window, Rashford’s exit has looked like a possibility, and that will remain the case until he leaves the club.
Rashford made his intentions clear that he wants a fresh challenge elsewhere.
The biggest hurdle right now is finding a club that will meet his salary demands.
It has been revealed to United in Focus that Rashford is still prioritising Barcelona and because of this United are still preparing for him to be at the club after January.
That means Rashford may need to wait until the summer for his move away from Old Trafford.
