Real Madrid are now considering a summer bid for Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot in the summer transfer window.
Spanish outlet AS claim that Dalot is under consideration by the European champions as they weigh up their options at right-back.
The report claims Madrid are looking for a long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal, and have taken note of Dalot’s contract situation.
The £19 million man’s deal runs out in the summer of 2024, after United triggered the one-year extension available to them back in December.

Real Madrid eyeing Diogo Dalot
That move bought United some time over potentially agreeing a longer term extension in due course and there is no suggestion in the report that Dalot wants to go.
At this stage, it seems like Madrid keeping tabs on a potential option they think may be available at a knockdown price this summer, or for nothing in 2024.
But United remain in control of the situation, and there are a number of players with similar contract situations to Dalot, who we are also awaiting news about.
That indicates that Dalot not signing a new deal yet is no cause for panic, because the likes of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho have not done so either.
The report claims that Madrid are also considering Joao Cancelo, who rapidly left Manchester City on transfer deadline day.
He is currently on loan at Bayern Munich and it is tough to see any way back for him under Pep Guardiola, and United may hope that Madrid go in that direction instead.
Dalot was exceptional in the first part of the season, but has suffered injury problems since the World Cup, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka deputising well.
He was an unused substitute for last night’s 2-2 draw with Barcelona at the Nou Camp, and United’s right-back situation does need a definite resolution come the summer.
