Rumours linking Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka with a move to Crystal Palace have taken a hit after the Eagles signed Daniel Munoz.
The final days of the January transfer window are now upon us and United supporters are expecting… well, not very much.
United are unlikely to make any moves ahead of the deadline this week and much of the speculation about incomings actually surrounds the summer.
Ineos need time to assess the United landscape and we will surely some considerable spending during the summer window.
Sadly, one potential problem has already arisen for United after Crystal Palace announced their latest signing…
Crystal Palace announce Daniel Munoz deal
Palace have today confirmed the arrival of right back Daniel Munoz from Genk.
The Colombian International has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at Selhurst Park with the option of another year.
Munoz has racked up more than 150 appearances for Genk following a 2020 move from Atletico Nacional in his native Colombia.
A right back with 22 Colombia caps to his name, the 27-year-old is now ready to make the jump from Belgium to England.
Palace now add competition at right back and a deal to sign Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka now looks rather unlikely.

Manchester United face Michael Olise swap issue
Reports earlier in the January window suggested that United had already spoken to Crystal Palace about signing winger Michael Olise.
The discussions centred around sending Wan-Bissaka to Palace in part-exchange for Olise in an attempt to bring the price tag down.
Palace have now thrown a spanner in the works by signing a new right back of their own, leaving a Wan-Bissaka move in doubt.
Would Palace sign a right back to a deal until 2027 and then sign another one just six months later?
That seems pretty unlikely and today’s Munoz deal leaves us thinking that the Olise swap idea is now dead in the water.
Maybe United will still look to move Wan-Bissaka on and use the cash towards a deal for Olise, but the groundwork on a part-exchange deal may now be rendered useless.
