Manchester United are being linked with a move for Monaco right-back Vanderson.

The impressive form of Aaron Wan-Bissaka cannot stem a daily rotation of right-backs being linked to Manchester United.

The latest reportedly on United’s radar is Monaco prospect Vanderson, reports RMC Sport.

The French outlet reports United are ready to make an offer for the 21-year-old, who was signed by sporting director Paul Mitchell.

Manchester United keen on Vanderson

It is a rite of passage for any talented young player to be linked with Manchester United, so we will remain fairly sceptical on this.

Vanderson is an interesting player, however. Monaco signed the right-back from Gremio in January 2021 and he has gone onto make 56 appearances for the club.

Tottenham and Brentford had attempted to sign him while at Gremio, Le 10 Sport reported, but it was Monaco who won the race.

Last summer he admitted he fancied a move to England, telling  Onze Mondial, “Yes. It’s an objective for all those who want to evolve at the highest level.”

Former Gremio coach former Gremio coach Tiago Nunes told Sport last year that his skill set is comparable to Dani Alves.

Nunes said: ““I think of the comparison with Alves, because Dani was one of the greats. Dani is a player who played on the wing, but he was also a midfielder many times. Vanderson has the quality to do that, and the physical strength to attack the space.

“Because he is direct, he has a lot of strength. He scores goals, he has potential. I see the same potential as Dani Alves.”

Monaco would expect to make a big profit on the £11 million they paid for Vanderson. He is under contract until 2027.

United have meanwhile been strongly linked to his Monaco teammate Axel Disasi, with French outlet Foot Mercato reporting the Red Devils have held talks with the centre-back’s representatives.
