For Manchester United, this summer seems to have the agenda of signing some excellent prospects and revitalising the first-team.
As Ineos undoubtedly begin to plan their inaugural summer at the helm of Manchester United, there are thought to be four positions which are priorities for the club to strengthen.
This is in the form of a striker, central midfielder, left-back and centre-back, however, this isn’t the finalised list of players the club want, with a right-winger and also a goalkeeper potentially desired.

This leaves United with plenty of work to do, with the transfer window opening on Friday, and now one excellent player has been linked with the club.
But interestingly, the interest comes a year after he rejected the club, however, now he could be more desired than ever.

Manchester United still hold interest in Zion Suzuki
One position in which United are now being linked with an acquisition is the goalkeeper slot, with Japanese talent Zion Suzuki being linked to the club once more.
The 21-year-old keeper was a target last summer as Andre Onana’s long-term replacement in goal, however, the youngster actually rejected the opportunity to make an Old Trafford move.
But now, according to reports in Japan from outlet Sponichi, United are said to remain interested this summer and even scouted the 6ft 3in No.1 during his pre-Olympic training camp in the USA this month.
United will face interest from other sides though, including Serie A side Genoa who believe they can tempt him this summer and the list of admirers is unlikely to stop here with Suzuki being Belgian football’s best goalkeeper last season after making the move to Sint-Truiden.
After being rejected previously by the young talent with the move coming ‘too early’, United will have to offer him the chance at first-team football next season. If he really is targeted, this could see him as the Europa League or Cup goalkeeper, something Altay Bayindir would love the chance to do, however, this could imply his departure is likely.
It is worth noting that Suzuki suggested rejecting United was more of a ‘see you soon’ than a ‘goodbye’. He told Het Nieuwsblad: “Anyone can solve that puzzle, right? It’s too early for Man United now!
“I now know from many Japanese predecessors that STVV is an ideal first step towards Europe. Later, I want to work in the Premier League.”
Zion Suzuki is the perfect understudy to Andre Onana
While some may have been sceptical over Suzuki being signed last summer for £5m, with zero European experience, this summer there can be little doubt.
His debut season in Europe saw him the best in his league and showcased himself to be ‘one of the world’s greatest talents’.
A proper shot-stopper who boasts excellent passing and distribution while being in the 100th percentile for high claims, as per FotMob.
If Bayindir is to be sold, as all signs seem to suggest, then United must look no further than Suzuki to fill the void this summer.
