Manchester United still want Dusan Vlahovic amid Juventus contract stance

Manchester United continue to track Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic but he could end up signing a new deal in Italy.

United invested big money in one Serie A striker over the summer, landing Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta.

The Dane has shown encouraging signs, especially in the Champions League, but clearly needs some help up top.

Anthony Martial just isn’t offering that help and could leave in 2024 amid rumoured interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

United may therefore need to spend on another striker in 2024 and another Serie A target is emerging…

Manchester United want Dusan Vlahovic

90min now report that United and Premier League rivals Arsenal are keeping close tabs on Juventus hitman Dusan Vlahovic.

It’s claimed that United showed a real interest in signing Vlahovic over the summer but he chose to stay at Juventus.

The Serbian cost Juventus a huge £63million in 2022 and he initially made a big impact in Turin.

The 23-year-old struggled to find his top form last season but seems to be getting back to his best this term.

Vlahovic has already hit four goals in 10 Serie A appearances and Juventus want him to sign a new contract.

Juventus are hopeful that Vlahovic will commit his future to the club but United are still watching him ahead of a possible 2024 move.

Maybe United should try a Jadon Sancho swap

United’s prolonged interest in Vlahovic may open the door for a potential exchange.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Juventus have made an approach to try and sign United winger Jadon Sancho.

United don’t want to do a loan deal though, and Juventus are struggling regarding a permanent deal.

Sancho is completely frozen out at United and Erik ten Hag will want him gone in the January window.

United will want another striker but can’t afford to go big in terms of a transfer fee, so maybe United should try and get creative with a swap deal.

United would likely still have to cough up some cash on top of Sancho, but it’s one avenue to be considered with Vlahovic still wanted at Old Trafford.
