Fabrizio Romano claims Manchester United have received Jadon Sancho approach

Manchester United have now received an approach from Juventus for Jadon Sancho – but aren’t keen on striking a loan deal.

Jadon Sancho has to be the most disappointing situation at Manchester United this season.

The winger needed a big year; his third season at the club having arrived from Borussia Dortmund for £73million back in 2021.

We had seen flashes of quality from Sancho but nowhere near the player United had fallen in love with in Germany.

Sadly, Sancho seems to be finished at United following a public bust-up with Erik ten Hag, and hasn’t made a single appearance since August.

Juventus want Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho

The expectation is that United will offload Sancho in January, but the nature of a deal is unknown.

Sancho cost United big money and earns huge wages at Old Trafford, so finding a way to move him on won’t be easy.

Fabrizio Romano now claims on YouTube that Juventus have made contact over a potential deal for Sancho.

The Serie A side are sniffing around for a loan deal as their Financial Fair Play situation means a permanent deal just isn’t possible.

That doesn’t really work for United at the moment, with Romano adamant that United plan to sell Sancho rather than accept a loan deal.

“I can tell you that Juventus made contacts in the recent days to be informed on the situation of Jadon Sancho,” said Romano. “Juventus are interested in Jadon Sancho, Juventus appreciate the player, Juventus believe that Sancho is a very good player that could be an opportunity on the market, but for Juventus, due to the Financial Fair Play situation, the only way to make it happen is a loan deal.”

“Also, the salary of Sancho is an important salary, so the only way for Juventus would be for Manchester United to cover part of that salary, so that is why the deal is not easy at all, and at the moment, it’s not even a negotiation, but Juventus just asked for information on the situation of Sancho.”

“For Manchester United, the best way is to sell the player, not to loan the player out, so this is what Manchester United hope for the January window, but in case they can’t make it happen, keep an eye on the loan deal and keep an eye on Juventus,” he added.

United may need to consider Sancho loan

We totally understand why United are reluctant to strike a loan deal.

Ten Hag probably just wants Sancho gone with no chance of a return to Old Trafford.

This whole situation has been a headache for Ten Hag with United paying Sancho to effectively be nowhere near the first-team setup.

Finding a January solution to this problem is vital and Ten Hag would surely like to see Juventus strike a deal.

The problem is that, outside of the Premier League, there isn’t a lot of cash flying around for transfer fees and wages.

Finding somebody to pay up for Sancho won’t be easy and United may need to accept a loan deal in order to get Sancho back in the shop window.

United are facing a loss on Sancho one way or another, but a Juventus loan may help Ten Hag move on.
